Wearing Down is a 24 hour animated installation. A program tracking the time of day plays a particular animation reflecting the various positions my body exists as in a 24 hour period. These animations switch at calculated times, mirroring a real time record of my day. By displaying only an outline of my body, viewers are allowed to mentally place themselves inside the shape and consider their own daily routines. This piece documents a history of my own body as an imperfect vessel. It also comments on the ways in which we choose to use our bodies on a daily basis in the current culture.
